TLG Management Partners Arranges Secondary Sale of Estancia Villa Lucero in Uruguay to Private European Investor and Retains Long-Term Operating Role

Montevideo, 5 May 2023

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the secondary sale of Estancia Villa Lucero, one of Uruguay's iconic farmland properties that we have managed over the past five years.

One of the country's most traditional farms, Villa Lucero combines significant production potential with substantial investment in infrastructure and development to support the production of sustainably reared grass-fed beef cattle, rainfed row crops, rice, and timber.

Located in the heart of Uruguay, in the Tacuarembó department, the property spans over 9,000 hectares, comprising eighteen distinct land plots grouped broadly into three soil categories.

The estate features seven residences with 35 bedrooms, four barns, a comprehensive water system, three cattle facilities, 140 kilometres of exterior and internal fencing, and a 1,250-meter airstrip with an aeroplane hangar.

We are pleased to report that Villa Lucero has been acquired by a private European investor, thus providing liquidity to our original client, a consortium of European investors, after a successful five-year holding period.

TLG arranged the sale and will continue operating the property for the foreseeable future.

This successful transaction showcases TLG's ability to source, execute, develop, manage, and divest from exceptional farmland investments.
